Historic Preservation and Restoration of the 100 Year old Hand-built Maverick Concert Hall

Location:   Woodstock, New York
Project:   STA worked with the Board of Maverick Concerts to restore their National Register-listed rustic hall and woodland grounds in time for their 100th birthday. Maverick is the oldest continuous summer chamber-music series in America. Despite significant interventions, the Board and design team added amenities but still preserved the essential aesthetic and acoustical experience of this unique music chapel.

Honor Award for Recognition of Architectural Excellence

Location:   Ramapo College, Mahwah, New Jersey
Project:   This 21st century "net- zero" one room schoolhouse is a teaching instrument, a demonstration of green techniques, and a symbol of the college's commitment to a sustainable future.


Historic Preservation of 5 contiguous buildings in the Philipse Manor Historic District

Project:   Restoration and adaptation of 19th and early 20th century buildings to 10 work-live energy efficient apartments and 6 storefronts.


Preservation and Restoration of the Tiffany Reading Room

Award for Excellence

Awarded by:   The Greater Hudson Heritage Network
Date:   2014
Location:   Village Hall, Irvington, New York
Project:   This restoration of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s 1902 reading room brings his luminous ensemble of tile, wood-graining, turtleback lamps and original furniture back in service for tranquil reading and intimate community gatherings.
