Boy scouts on the road
The Clear Lake Scout Reservation is a 1400 acre forest preserve, contiguous with the southern edge of Fahnestock State Park in the Town of Putnam Valley, New York. The local Westchester-Putnam Council, BSA, approached Stephen Tilly, Architect in the spring of 1999 and asked us to design 12 weekend cabins for up to 40 persons each and a multi-purpose event and meeting hall. Simply shaped, south-oriented buildings are designed and sited to minimize their impact on their fragile environment and on each other.
