Andreas Hubener, architectural designer. STA practice has taken Andreas to Lake Placid, Albany, Montgomery, NY, Old Westbury, L.I. and closer to home, facilities in Westchester County. His skills include stabilization of a ruin (Colden Mansion, Montgomery), historic preservation (Keepers House, Dobbs Ferry), new energy conserving architecture (new student housing, Lake Placid, NY), systems problem-solving for underperforming buildings (YWCA, White Plains), and planning to revitalize a community in transition in Peekskill, NY. He received his architectural degree from the Hochschule Bremen (College), Germany in 1993. In Bremen and Berlin, he served as a construction planner for both new and historic buildings and in addition applied his mechanical skills to aging Citroens, Peugeots, Opels and Mercedes.
